Alex was born in Trafford on July 29th 1999 and left us on September 5th 2011 following a six-month battle with B-Cell Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. Throughout his treatment, Alex was so brave and positive, aided by all the wonderful treatment and support provided by the staff and fellow patients on Ward 84, Royal Manchester Childrens Hospital. Many children survive this disease but unfortunately Alex wasn't one of them so there is still along way to go to reaching a one hundred per cent survival rate. Therefore, through donations made to the Alex Hulme Foundation, we would like to honour Alex by helping towards improving the treatment of this dreadful disease and thus providing diagnosed children with a better prognosis for the future
